Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mama's out there.

I hope that your day was filled with blessings.

Mine was filled with three of my biggest.

Well, four, can't forget the hubster.

I feel so very blessed to be a mother.

Yes, it is hard.

But anything that you put all of yourself; your heart, soul, body and mind to is going to be hard.

If there is anything that is worth putting all of yourself into, it is your children.

I feel so very blessed to be given this calling in life.

This divine responsibility.

These children are a gift from God.

Yes, these zany, wacky, silly, goofy, loving, spectacular beings that I am blessed to call my own are amazing.

I remember a time though when Mother's Day was painful.

I remember feeling like I wanted to bury my head in the sand to simply survive those 24 hours.

To those of you that are hurting today, I am deeply sorry.

I know how that wound festers on today especially.

I am here for you.

You are in my prayers.

Today was a really laid back day.

We couldn't go to church.

I am still sick.

Ainsley and Abby are sick too.

After getting everyone clean and ready for the day we headed to Target.

Adison had some money burning a hole in her pocket and I promised her that we would go this weekend.

So after some fun their we headed home.

I spent my afternoon reading and resting.

I bought the People Royal Wedding edition.

{Yes, I really did.}

I am also still reading Water for Elephants.

It was a really nice afternoon.

Then K made us dinner.

Homemade chicken fried rice.

Yum!
We finished off our dinner with...cupcakes!

Like I said, a really laid back day.

I loved it.

I would also like to thank my Mom.

Mom, you rock!
You did an amazing job with Joe and I.

I couldn't have picked a better mother for me.

{She's totally awesome and just so happens to be my bff.}
