On my heart and mind

1. Miss Annabelle, please continue praying for her. She is still in the hospital on the ventilator. They are waiting for some results to come back, but as of now they don't know what is going on. Krista {Mom} has some specific prayer requests on the new blog post.

2. My sorority sister's daughter, Amelia, is having heart surgery tomorrow. Her precious daughter was born with Downs Syndrome and will be having aorta reconstruction and pulmonary band. Lynda and Wade have set up a Caring Bridge Page for Amelia.

~~~~~~~~~~~
 Not too much going on otherwise.
Keeping busy.
This weekend we got all of Adison's school supplies.
Yep, this means that school is starting soon.
On one hand I am so ready to have a routine again and on the other hand I am dreading that routine.
Yes, confusing.
We had small group tonight.
It was such a wonderful time and I love sharing life with such great people.
Abby was actually not being shy towards the end and acted like her usual goofy self, ha ha.
The couple that host our small group had cupcakes tonight for dessert, yes, that made me oh so happy.
I am really hoping that our book that we will be studying comes in the mail tomorrow :)
Because I share all with you, I thought that I would share an oh so graceful moment with you:
I was walking into the living room {not watching where I was walking, of course} when I looked down and saw a toy on the floor. In an effort not step on said toy THAT HAD WHEELS ON IT, I attempted to turn the other way and kicked a wooden half-wall that is in between the living room and dining room. It tore off a portion of my toenail and actually bruised the nail itself, ouch.
How about some Monday randomness
Today I have lots of things {not important things, just things} to share so a random posts seems like the best way to convey all of them.
~My brother is getting married THIS Saturday! Woo hoo! I am thinking of making some hair clips for the big girls to wear. I'll keep you posted.
~Do you remember me saying a few weeks ago that I had a sinus infection and ear infection? Well, the antibiotic didn't knock it out all the way so this morning I started on a new one. All four of my sinus cavities were painful and there was so much pressure. I came down with a wicked headache last night. So, all of that plus the wedding the weekend AND a ton of family coming in equals needing to get this thing taken care of.
~Ainsley has stayed dry the last five or six nights. That's right NO PULL UP! Woo hoo!
~I am still not loving my hair 100% although it is getting better. This morning I put some curl cream in it and this is kind of what it looks like. It never looks quit the same in the photo as it does in real life. My hair isn't really that dark either.
~I am addicted to eating avocados right now. I like to put them in a bowl, add a bit of salt and pepper then mash them up with a fork. So good! For lunch today we had black bean nachos with mashed up avocado on them. Oh yeah, I'm also kind of obsessed with black beans.
~We  took the kids to see Cars 2 yesterday. My Dad went with us too. It was a good time. Adison proclaimed it the best movie she has ever seen. Ainsley only got antsy towards the end and Abby did about as well as we could hope for. I thought it was a really cute flick. I'm glad we saw it in the theater. Abby was really cute during the previews. They had a preview for the new Winnie the Pooh movie and she got really still at first and then when the music started playing she was dancing up a storm. K and I both concluded that we have to see it now.
~Speaking of Abby, last night after putting Ainsley to bed I checked on Abby. She was out. But I saw that her position looked kind of funny, upon closer inspection I saw this.
The picture is kind of dark, sorry. She is sleeping on top of her baby doll. Yes, that head on the right side is her doll. I thought it was just too funny to not take a picture. Poor girl was exhausted.
~Adison and Ainsley are still LOVING their lessons. I'm a little worried for after swimming is over. Maybe I will see if I can sign them up for another session. Oh and yeah, I still have not taken my camera with me to take pictures. Tomorrow, tomorrow I will remember my camera. Ugh.
~Funny story involving one of our cats. Saturday night, after K got home from a baseball game {K is my brother's best man, the game was my brother's bachelor party} a couple of flies got in the house. One of our cats, Zoe, is a fly hunter. While K and I were talking about the game she jumped straight up about three or so feet in the air to catch a fly. It was hysterical.
~Okay folks, that's it. I am off to watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with the kiddos. Adison is reading the series this summer and just finished the second book. Way to go Adison!
How was your weekend?
See ya tomorrow!
What day is it???
This weekend has seemed like a whirlwind of activity
Fun activity, but activity none the less.
Yesterday we decided to take the kiddos out for lunch.
It was so fun and crazy and busy.
I loved it!
There was a guy there that made balloon animals and such for the kids.
The girls were so excited, there was a lot of squealing going on at our table!
Adison requested a butterfly on a flower.
The cool thing was that he could make it!!!
All Ainsley really wanted was a heart.
He had these really cute heart shaped balloons.
She was in Heaven.
The man was extra nice and made her a princess crown with ANOTHER heart on it.
Abby got a cute little teddy bear holding a heart.
She was so excited that she kept hugging it and smiling.
After that we hit up my favorite store, Target!!!
I needed to get some hair color and while there spied a book that I have been dying to get my hands on.
Yippee!
I was simply giddy to be getting The Pioneer Woman's new book, it didn't disappoint either.
I might or might not have stayed up until 1:00 in the morning to finish it. Yes, it was THAT good!
After that, hubs took me to get cupcakes.
We went to Billy Vanilly (it used to be called Daddy Cakes).
They had been on the show Cupcake Wars on Food Network.
Let me tell you, those cupcakes are G-O-O-D!
K got me an entire box for yours truly.
I tell ya, he loves me.
How funny is their sign!?!
A special someone named K ate the other one, he said it was really good. I am impatiently waiting to eat more of them.
While the littles slept, Adison played, K headed over to a friends house and I read my book and ate a cupcake.
That is my idea of relaxing, I enjoyed every.single.second.
Today has been a bit rough though.
Poor Abby is just miserable.
We think that she has a tooth coming in.
Plus, the diarrhea, exploding diaper thing has returned.
No matter how quickly you get that sludge off her little bum is hurtin'.
It makes me want to cry.
I am so very grateful to have her 15 month check up tomorrow, I need to quiz him on what is going on with Abby.
She is so miserable that we had to cancel going to small group tonight.
It was a tough choice to make, but homegirl is just not happy.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone!
I pray that you all have a wonderful day with your families celebrating the birth of Jesus.
I also pray for a day full of laughter and happiness.
Around here today we've been cleaning the house, having lunch with my Dad and will *hopefully* bake some cookies.
Here is the book that we will be reading after church tonight.
Here is the Book that we will be reading tomorrow.
Here is the book that Adison made for Santa.
It has a few drawings and she asks him some questions.
She even left some pages for him to write back to her.
Here are some pictures of my Christmas elf.
Isn't she a cutie!?!
{She kept trying to poke the camera.}
Last night Adison and I went to a friend's Christmas concert at a really good coffee shop. Every year they perform this beautiful song and they have people come out dressed up like angels. The angels skip around and throw "snowflakes" (confetti) on the audience.
Last night Adison and I were sitting on the floor with a bunch of the kids, they were all scooping snowflakes into Adison's empty cup. Before I knew it they had filled the thing up! I was paying attention to the music and before I realized what was going on A CUP FULL OF SNOWFLAKES were dumped ALL over me! EVERYONE saw and they all laughed, Adison of course laughed the hardest of all. I thought it was really funny too...until I was all itchy and realized the the snowflakes went down my sweater. We got a really big kick out of it! It was a wonderful evening!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
I am so very thankful for each and every one of you!
