A girl and her cat

We got Chloe about 6 months after K and I got married.
That makes her 10 years old {shh, don't tell her I told you!}.
She has always been the sweetest, most loving and patient kitty.
She is wonderful with children and never nips at them.
She is our cuddle kitty.
Which works out quite perfectly because Abby is a cuddle baby...errr...toddler.
{Have I mentioned that she will be 2 tomorrow!?!}

This morning Abby and I enjoyed a quiet morning at home.
No television, no music, nothing.
Just the two of us, enjoying the quiet and each other.

Abby was coloring for a bit and then looked at the American Girl catalog {she is growing up so fast!}.
But then, it got quiet.
I'm a mama to three, I know that quiet = trouble

Imagine my surprise and delight when I discover this scene.

Hi Mama, I'm just laying her cuddling with Chloe.
Aren't I cute!?!

That's what I imagine her saying to me.

  1. Oh my word, that is adorable. My parent's cat is a 'cat.' She dislikes...everyone! When you ask K what a kitty says...he hisses. :) Happy, Happy Birthday Abby!!! And I am in denial about the toddler thing too..
