Random Thoughts and Musings

My children melt me, seriously how am I not a puddle on the floor? There is never one specific thing that they do, rather a multitude. Here's an example for you. This morning while K was heading out the door this morning he told the girls good bye again. Abby turned and ever so cautiously made her way over to her Daddy. She then put her arms up to be held and gave him a kiss. Melted. This morning Adison was being so sweet with her baby sister, I again melted. Ainsley was talking to me and I don't remember what she said, but I felt myself slide to the floor. Ahh, being melted is a good thing. I know that someday these things will be a distant memory, I am keen to keep on melting over these sweet moments as long as possible.

My post from the other day has really gotten me thinking. I really want to do something more with my blog. I really want to grow this thing and spread some encouragement. I just want this to be more and so I am actively looking for ways to grow it. Please let me know if you have any tips, ideas or feedback for me. Thanks!

My hubs feels like he is getting sick. As a severe asthmatic that is a bad thing. Prayers would be very welcome! Also, please let me know if there is anything that I can pray about for you.

Last night, after the kiddos were sleeping snug in their beds I watched Steel Magnolias. The movie is always everything that I want it to be. I laughed really hard several times and couldn't contain myself with saying my favorite quotes when they did. I also cried during the movie more than I usually do. Maybe it's because I have three daughters that the movie really strikes a chord. I just can't help but sob when Jackson finds Shelby laying on the ground, then when they turn off life support. The entire scene at the cemetery, oh my goodness. There are no words. I did however promptly burst into laughter when Clairee tells M'Lynn to "take a whack at Ouiser" seriously, I don't know how my cackling did not wake up the entire house. Okay, enough of a movie recap.

Thanks for sharing all of your favorite movies! I like so many of those too! I think that tonight I might was Pride and Prejudice. That movie just makes my heart flutter. There is something so, so...I struggle to find the words to convey my thoughts. But, you know, it is just so sigh worthy. I think that because of the cold that all I want to do is snuggle in my warm bed and watch movies. Speaking of cold, the high here tomorrow is supposed to be 9 degrees. No, I am not kidding!

Oh, I am trying to figure out how to get my pictures from my iPhone onto my blog. Anyone know how to do this? Remember, I am so technologically challenged. Help! Also, how is that people are taking pictures of things on their screens. I don't know if anyone knows the answers to these oh so important questions, but hey, I might as well put that out there. Right?

  1. Danna, as far as I know, unless you have your blog on your iphone, you can simply email them to yourself and then get them on that way. And, as far as taking pictures of things on their screens, I have done this twice, and I have no idea how I did it. I'll be looking through the pictures on my iphone and all of the sudden there'll be a picture that I took of my screen. I have no idea how I have done this, but I also would like to know. hehe. Hope this helps a little :}

  3. GIMP will allow you to take pictures of your screen. If you go to the "Mommy Moment" blog I showed you about, they have a tutorial for using GIMP to create your button and such. If that doesn't work, let me know...maybe we'll have to come over!! ;0)

  4. Danna, there is an app called wifiphoto that will allow you to download a zip file of any number of photos wireless-ly from your iPhone to your computer - given that your iPhone and computer are using the same wireless network. Cost a few bucks, but definitely worth it. Much faster than attempting to email yourself large pic files from your phone or degrading the pics to make the email transfer quicker.

  5. Hi Danna!...photos will surely make your blog pop more!!, plus we all wanna see your sweet little girls, and all the moments and things you talk about! ^_^ .
    To get your pics from my iphone onto my blog I do this:
    Email youself the pics, and save in a blog folder on your comp.
    Open a picasa account, and upload the pics from your blog folder into your picasa folder.
    When you create your new post, you should be able to add images, and if you're using the new blogspot version, it gives you 3 options (pick from Picasa web albums)and select your pics and you're done! ^_^

    I hope we get to see pics now! weee!! ^_^ hehehe
    PS....If you need more help email me ^_^
