The Good, the Bad and the Funny

I really look forward to doing these, it seems like such a fun way of re-capping the week.

The Good: I know I have talked about this a couple of times, but Abby had an amazing doctor's appointment on Monday. It is such a relief to know that she is now not only on track developementally but surpassing where she should be at this age. We have had a few nice days this week so I have taken the cupcakes to the park and over to a friends house to soak up some sun.

The Bad: Adison pulled something in her leg yesterday and was hurting quite a bit. We gave her some medicine and had her rest and she is now feeling just fine. I just don't like it one bit when my girls are hurt or not feeling well. Abby had to have lab work done on Monday, all is well, but she cried like I have never seen. It broke my heart. She also has a tooth coming in that is making her miserable.

The Funny: Abby has started doing this hysterical fake cry. Ainsley is her usual funny self. The things that this girl says have us rolling. I think that they are even funnier because she isn't trying to be funny. The other day Adison asked Ainsley what something said. Without skipping a beat Ainsley replied, "It says P.S. you're not going to get it." Now, I will be the first to admit that it was kind of sassy and that we didn't laugh in front of the kids, but K and I had several laughs at this one.

Okay, now it's your turn, please share!

  1. The Good - The Babe got his first tooth! He's getting so big so fast, I can't believe it - and he's MUCH happier now that it's out in the open! I also got a bunch of work that I needed to get done this week..and am starting to read a new book that my momma lent me and have been listening to some really awesome sarah harmer songs that make me smile and be happy :)

The Bad - Another death - this time a neighbour - I'm so sick of feeling like death surrounds me lately. It's also the one year anniversary of the death of my grandfather, and all of the memories/feelings/hurt/hatred that I wish I could move on from surrounding certain people and his death. Blah. DOWNER.

    ALAS - My favourite..THE FUNNY!
The babe giggles like crazy these days..and his favourite thing to do is to look at himself in the mirror, smile coyly like - oh HEY, who IS that beautiful baby in the mirror? And then he starts to smile bigger, and bigger, and BIGGER and he's just so impressed with the baby in the mirror - and we're all amused by just how much he loves himself :P I can't really think of anything funnier..my brain is turning to mush! Oi! That will have to do for tonight..it's time for some shut eye!

  2. This was so fun to read! And totally understand about not liking when one of the kiddos are sick. I start to have a panic attack every time one of my boys are laying on the couch with a mild fever. Motherhood, I tell ya.

  3. Agreed. I hate having health issues with the kids. Love to laugh with (at) the kids. ;)
