5 Question Friday!!!

I love 5 Question Friday, head on over and join me!!!

1. Do you know what your REAL hair color is?
I do and I am frantically trying to get back to it. My REAL hair color is a medium brown with a lot of red in it.
I dyed my hair about 5 months ago, I was wanting to go red. I love red hair and thought why not???

Because my hair grows REALLY fast I also use the semi-permanent colors because they wash out. Not this time, my hair apparently decided to be bff's with the red hair color because it will not come out. I have even tried coloring over it and the red still shines through. This last time I went DARK brown and I think this might have done the trick...maybe. The reason that I am trying so hard to get my real hair color back is that my brother is getting married this summer and we are doing pictures. My family of 5 have NEVER had a professional picture taken and now we are going to be able to. I want to look like ME rather than "oh, I had that picture taken when my hair was REALLY red." I know that is weird, but I am going with it.
2. Do you plan ahead for summer, or fly by the seat of your pants?
I plan a few things like swimming lessons and vacation Bible school. Otherwise, I fly by the seat of my pants. I feel like our lives are so scheduled that I yearn for the freedom of summer.

3. What is your favorite meal to cook?

I don't really like cooking...at all. To me cooking is a means to feed hungry tummies. If I had to pick, I would say manicotti. I love it

!4. Do you get offended by not receiving thank yous?
Not normally. I think it's because we are so busy that I know that others are too. Actually, I don't even expect thank yous anymore, so when we get one it is extra special.

5. How did you meet your best friend?
I actually have two.
My oldest best friend and I met at college.
We had a few classes together and she was SUPER smart.
We became study partners and she really helped me in my walk with Christ.
She also introduced us to our amazing church.

My other best friend and I met at a park.
The funny thing is that neither of us really felt like talking to the other.
She was peacefully reading a book while her kids played.
I was pushing my baby in the swing.
But our girls got along really well.
After talking for a bit we realized that we had both suffered mulitple miscarriages.
We instantly clicked.

  1. I can relate to the hair color problem. I used to dye mine a lot, a real lot. It took me a long time to get back to the original color which is like a very light brown with red and blond highlights. Red hair color tends to really stick to my hair too and it does not like letting go!

  4. Hi, Danna, stopping by from 5QF. I chose your blog because who could resist pink cupcakes? Then your screen popped up and I saw the scripture on your header...talk about the ultimate sprinkles *smile* Your family is gorgeous. I went to school with an Ainsley and always thought it was such a beautiful name. Does Kirk, aka Hubs, aka K do some of the cooking? Lucky girl if he does! Have a grand weekend.
