Adison's letter to the tooth fairy

I don't hide the fact that my kids melt me, but this takes the cake and is easily in my Top 10 Melting Moments.
A while ago I wrote about Adison wanting to bargain with the Tooth Fairy.
With the way that our conversation went I naively assumed that was the end of things.
I was wrong.

When looking through Adison's school papers today, this is what I found.

It says:
Dear tooth fairy
I lost my tooth at my grandmas and grandpas hoiuse. I didn't want to give my tooth away because I wanted to show it to my class. How about this can you trade one of my top teeth for one of the quarters that you gave me and also I will give you two pennies. If you do that I wll be graceful of you. Can you put the tooth in the bag if yes. Heres a picture of you just flip to the back.
Sign if yes or no

This simply melted me.
She is just so sweet and cute and darling.
sigh.

Revisiting Friday

Last Friday I mentioned a fun outing that I took the kiddos on and I am FINALLY going to share it with you.
Finally, jeeze, I'm such a slacker.

I think that I have mentioned before that we just got a Children's Discovery Center here in our town.
I am eternally grateful as we just don't have that many indoor things here to do.
Considering how HOT it gets here during the summer and how COLD it gets during the winter, someplace indoors was definitely needed.

The day that they opened K ran over and got a year pass for us, trust me when I say that we will be there A LOT!
My friend Jennifer and I decided that we would wait until the following week to go since everyone and their mom was going the first few days.
Then, I up and decided to get sick so that postponed our visit even more.
Yep, I am apparently difficult.

But Friday YES Friday was the day.
To say that my kids were excited is an understatement.
We had seen this building being built for what felt like forever so finally get to go inside was very exciting.
Add that to the fact that Jennifer and her kids were going and my girls were giddy!

We walked up to the front door and even the entry way impressed me.
There was SO much to see and do.
I apologize in advance, there are A LOT of pictures.

The girls when we first walked in.
There was so much to take in I don't think they knew what to think/do/or want to do first.

Lee made a delicious cake, ha ha.

She also dressed up as a princess.

Adison had a lot of fun playing in the cafe.

I think that the favorite of the day was the mechanic's shop.
Abby loved crawling through the tires, Adison loved working on the car and Lee liked pushing all of the buttons.

They also had a construction area.
Adison loved drilling into the wood and hammering nails.

Abby had a lot of fun driving these tractors.
There really was a lot for all ages.

They also had a painting room where the kids got to paint on the walls.
Yes, my children loved this.

There was also a section made just for toddlers.
There were things for them to climb on, a rice table and all sorts of neat toys.

We had so much fun at the center and plan on taking the kids back again.

A weekend recap

Wow, it feels like it has been such a long time since I have blogged!
I am still not at 100% so I have spent the majority of my time resting and hanging out with the kiddos.

I feel like we have had fun stuff going on lately {you know, other than me lazing around the house} so I think that I will give a brief recap of the fun and then maybe tomorrow do a better post about what has been going on.
Friday after K got home from work he oh so casually mentioned that he overheard at the gas station that some people from Storm Chasers were going to be out Outback.
What!?!
Get out of town, you have to be kidding me.
It turns out that it was the TIV team!
Yes, I got to meet Sean Casey.
Yes, I TOTALLY geeked out over it.
Well, geeked out in my head because who wants to really freak out in front of someone from television?

It turns out that they were doing a fundraiser for Joplin.
How neat is that!?!
So, I took a BUNCH of pics that I will share later.
It totally made my day/week/month.
Ahhh!

Saturday.
Adison went to her first skating party.
Sorry the picture is so blurry.
K took her and I took the littles to church with me.
K said that she LOVED it!
At first she was skating around the wall but then she really started to enjoy herself.
At one point she and two of her buddies from school were skating around the rink holding hands.
My heart totally melted when K told me that.

 Sunday.
Adison was invited to go to K's parent's house to stay the week so that she could go to VBS with her cousins.
We decided to surprise Adison with this and she was STOKED!
We decided to meet up with his folks at a McD's halfway between our houses.
She had no clue what was going on until she saw K's dad.
It was priceless.
The above photo is one I took on the way home.
I just love it when the corn starts to grown.
Growing corn = summer

This one I had to share just because it is so stinkin' cute!
I L-O-V-E how much she loves color and accessories.
I hope that everyone had a great weekend!

InstaFriday

life rearranged

I was a little worried at first that I wouldn't have many pictures this week, but alas, I took A LOT!
Lucky you, ha ha!

I was sick this week.
*sniffle sniffle sneeze sneeze*
I finally decided on Wednesday that I HAD to go the doctor.
The girls were AMAZING at the doctor's office!
I was so pleasantly surprised.
Thanks cupcakes!

Yesterday we decided to watch the new Narnia movie.
Both of my big girls PLUS one of our cats decided to sit ON me.
It was really sweet.
Last night Abby and I had our final fitting for our dresses for my brother's wedding.
They turned out PERFECT!
K decided to drive us there so we could grab some dinner afterwards.
This was the sunset on the way home, wasn't it gorgeous!

My shoes for my brother's wedding.
Love them!
Here is a little sneak peek of somewhere fun we went today.
We had so much fun!
My tiniest little princess and me.
She would NOT look at the camera, silly girl!

Have a great weekend and head on over to Life Rearranged and join in the InstaFriday fun!

Five Question Friday!

1. How close to your childhood dreams is your life now?

2. What is one must have item for the summer?

3. Do you have your kids stay up on school stuff during summer vacation? (Or, if you don't have kiddos, did your parents make you keep up on school stuff during summer?)
4. Do you can or freeze fresh produce?
5. Do you get ready for the day first thing in the morning?

1. When I was young I really wanted to be either a teacher or interior designer.
Being a teacher I can kind of see how that relates to my life now.
Being Mom to my three girls their are plenty of teaching moments.
The interior designer part, not so much. Ha ha.

2. Can I count air conditioning?
Because having A/C here in the Midwest is definitely a necessity.
Otherwise probably sunscreen, I want to keep mine and my kiddos skin safe.

3. My oldest is the only one in school right now.
But I do let her have the summer as free time.
I do encourage her to read and to use her everyday math skills, but I like her to have time to unwind.

4. I freeze fresh produce.
If I am able to get a good deal of fresh produce, when I get it home I will cut it up and put it in individual servings and freeze it.
Plus, my kids really like eating frozen fruit.

5. I don't get ready first thing unless I am going somewhere or someone is coming over.
Normally I will get ready either later in the morning or right after putting my youngest down for her nap.

Have a great weekend!

Take me out to the ballgame

Yesterday K surprised Adison with going to her very first Major League Baseball game.
She had NO CLUE WHATSOEVER!
It was so fun to see how excited she was.

Not only did she get to go with her daddy somewhere, but her Grandma & Grandpa as well as her Aunt and Uncle AND her cousins went too!

Adison waiting for her cousins to arrive.
So excited!!!

The view from the seats.

Having some fun!

This picture cracks me up!

Eating some oh so healthy ballpark food, ha ha ;)

I love the fact that my kiddos are able to have such close relationships with their cousins.
They get along so well and truly enjoy one another.
It makes my heart so happy :)

Annabelle

I have written about sweet Annabelle before.
This precious little girl has really touched my heart.
She is struggling folks and could really use some prayers.

This morning she will be having open heart surgery.
Would you please join me in lifting her up in prayer?
