Summer Break has begun

Adison is officially a second grader, where has the time gone? Now I know that all parents say that time passes quickly when you have children, but seriously, I feel as though she was just a baby. WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE???? Okay, enough of the tearful remembrances, I think I need to grab a Kleenex.

We kicked off summer break by having a picnic with my friend Jennifer & her kiddos. Her kids are darling & we have pretty much decided that our children have no other option than to be best friends, sorry kids! We had a blast though, we went to two different parks & were gone pretty much all day. I love days like that, the weather was nice & my girls were all in great moods. We pretty much live outside when the weather is nice, it doesn't seem to happen all that often in Kansas.

Then, it rained. I don't mean a little bit, I mean for days on end! So we were stuck in the house except for our run to the grocery store, it was a necessity, we were pretty much out of everything.

Yesterday (Friday) the sun decided to grace us with it's presence, we went to the zoo. It was a good time filled with lots of animals & happy children.

I am excited for summer to continue!

Mother's Day

I have been blessed to be the mother to three of the most wonderful daughters. Each one of them has changed my life in such a profound and overwhelming way. I am also the mother to six angel babies, those children that I have never held in my arms but have and will always hold in my heart.

I am constantly amazed at these darling girls that the God has placed in our lives. Adison, who is just as much tomboy as she is girlie. My first-born who has her "own style," she likes to dress rock & roll. She loves to play in the dirt, climb & jump all while wearing pink. Ainsley aka "Princess." Ask anyone who knows her and they will tell you that she is as girly as they come. She has a need to wear dresses, necklaces and brushes her hair out her face in such a manner that actual princesses are probably jealous. Then we have darling Abby, our little roley poly baby. Our girl who loves nothing more than to be held, talked to and tickled. She is all things sweet and lovable.

I am so very honored that Kirk & I were chosen to be their parents, that we were all decided as being the perfect fit. Thank you God for this honor! It is on this Mother's Day though, that I have to give credit to their Daddy, Kirk is such an amazing father & husband. He is the type of man that I pray that my daughters' can find in their future husband. Thanks to him, I get to be a mother to our gaggle of girls. Life is precious and amazing, I am honored to be called Mommy.

My sweet Adison, I love you my girl! You make my life so full of laughter, fun and adventure. You have a heart of gold and a boldness for God. You know what you like and don't like, you are not afraid to say what is on your mind. You made me a mommy and we are going on this journey together. I love you my sweet pea! Love, Mommy

So, I said that I would do better with blogging, guess it didn't work out that well.

Abby- She is now 5 months old, rolling over, laughing. She is just the sweetest, cutest baby ever, but I am so not biased! She is also not sleeping through the night yet, I tell myself that this is our last baby so I won't be up with a baby again. It is actually working, well, Kirk also go up with all three kids this weekend so I could sleep in. He is mine!


Adison- She is finishing up 1st grade, I know, I am close to tears typing this. When did my darling little baby get to be 7 years old!?! Seriously, where has the time gone. She is also doing soccer this spring & loving it. The girl was born to be a goalie. Pure and simple! She is also reading like crazy.

Ainsley- She is the stereotypical 2 year old. so sweet at one moment and a terror the next. She is at that darling stage where she is saying the cutest things. I love this stage! She is also an amazing big sister, I was a little worried with her being such a momma's girl, but it turns out that she is a little momma herself. Works out amazing for everyone. We moved her into her "big girl bed" a while ago, she is doing pretty well except for when she starts feeling naughty, a couple of times of week I discover that yet another book has been ripped to shreds.



Well, that is everything for now. Hope everyone is enjoying spring as much as we are!

One of my favorite things

I was talking to Kirk about one of my favorite things in the whole entire world is Ainsley right after a nap. I mean on the good days when she wakes up and could make the whole universe happy because she is so sweet that you could get a cavity. As with almost every time she wakes up we had the conversation about what had to come downstairs with her, today was "Puppy, Elmo, Grandma pi-yo (pillow) and lamb ban-ket (blanket). I brought her downstairs, sat her on my lap and there we snuggled. I talked with Kirk about half-way through our snuggle where she then proceeded to tell me about something which made no sense at all but was indescribably cute. She then made up a Pokemon song & did a toddler version of MJ's Moonwalk. This was beautiful reminder of why I love staying at home with my girls!

Our weekend

This weekend we had a pretty nice time even with the numerous nose blowings, sinus headaches & coughing attacks. We got all of our grocery/house shopping accomplished, with no tears being shed! On Sunday we took the kids to the park, we walked & played most of the afternoon, fun times but our sinuses did not agree! We didn't make it to church though, it makes me sad to think of how much we have missed this winter, but with the threat of getting other people sick, sometimes it is best to just stay home. Oh how I am longing for spring! I am back to not feeling that great but am taking it easy today to try to get healthy, it would be nice to feel good.
